Known for its heavy-duty durability and non-porous qualities, soapstone tile flooring, with shades of light or dark gray with natural white marbling, will give any floor a beautiful distinctive look. For cold climate areas another benefit of soapstone flooring is that it isn't as cold underfoot as other ceramic or stone tiles. When combined with in-floor radiant heat it can warm a room very efficiently.
Because of soapstone’s impervious quality and density it does not absorb water making it ideal for many bathroom applications. And best of all, soapstone wall tiles and tile flooring do not get slippery when wet. We can implement a combination of various colors for tile floors, walls and soapstone showers.
Soapstone has earned its way back into American homes today. Homeowners who want an exquisite and exclusive product in their home are choosing soapstone countertops over granite and other surfaces due to many good reasons:
Soapstone does not stain. Soapstone counters are not harmed by hot pots, citrus, wine, acids or chemicals. The only maintanance required is the mineral oil treatment to enhance the natural darkening process the stone goes through.
Our soapstone wood stoves have a cast iron insert in order to maximize efficiency and heat retention. All of our soapstone wood stoves are surrounded with an average of 1500 lbs of 60mm (2 3/8”) thick soapstone slabs. Other “soapstone wood stoves” available in the market, are only surrounded with a very small amount of 30mm(1 ¼”) soapstone, which is only decorative and not enough mass to hold and radiate heat.
Conventional wood burning stoves, made from steel and/or cast iron, sometimes lined with thin soapstone tiles, will not provide the amount of heat a real soapstone stove will deliver. Our soapstone masonry heaters work like a battery; you burn wood for 3 hours, the energy is stored in the thick soapstone slabs, then evenly distributed over a period.

A Soapstone firebrick's special mineral properties make it ideal for lining fireplaces. Soapstone can withstand great changes in temperature without cracking. A Soapstone firebrick is so dense that it absorbs heat and then radiates slowly for hours, improving your fireplace's efficiency.
We stock soapstone firebricks in two sizes: 9" x 4 ½" x 2 ½" 9" x 4 ½" x 1 ¼"
